On 1 July 2022, the Openness Act entered into force in Norway. This promotes companies' respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in the supply chain and with business partners. The Act ensures that the public will have access to information about how we as a business handle this. The Act shall contribute to us meeting and complying with the UN's sustainability goal No. 8 Decent work and economic growth. "Promote lasting, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full employment and decent work for all. About half of the world's population earns so poorly that they cannot live on their wages. Creating good quality workplaces is a major challenge for all countries until 2030."
We have drawn up a Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC) which describes the requirements we set for our suppliers with regard to human rights.
We are not established in the countries we trade with, but our Supplier CoC is sent in addition to a supplementary questionnaire where our suppliers must answer questions regarding human rights and working conditions.
PERMAKEM AS has carried out due diligence assessments of all countries we trade with.
