Activated carbon is extruded carbon with a surface area of typically 800-1100 mm2 per kilo. Activated carbon has a long range of uses, but the most common are removal of smell (H2S) and particles. Activated carbon can also be used to remove certain heavy metals and toxins from both air and solution.
