Cellulose fibres are used as filter-aids
In water treatment, cellulose fibres can be used to increase the suspended solids contents in a solution or to increase the fibre content to facilitate the formation of larger flock together with a flocculant. Cellulose fibres can also be used as a precoat for a filter, where the user can gain a higher and drier filter cake as well as easier cleaning.
