PERMAKEM AS offers oxygen scavengers to remove elemental oxygen from solutions
Oxygen scavengers are used to mitigate the formation of oxygen induced corrosion on pipelines and process equipment during secondary oil recovery. Oxygen scavengers are used with vacuum to reduce the dissolved oxygen down to typically <10 ppb. Common oxygen scavengers are solutions of sodium bisulfite and ammonium bisulfite or sodium metabisulfite dissolved in water prior to use.
